As many of our families are spread so far apart, this blog enables us to easily communicate with each other and update everybody on our lives. So post a message, some pictures, a video, anything! This will help keep us all connected. God has blessed us with an amazing legacy in Dad/Mom, Oma/Opa, Grandma/Grandpa and may we continue it together.

hellooooo family.
Hey Family!
So I haven't posted anything in.. forever, so I thought I'd take the advice of that older sister of mine. ..haha - make a note of this Ali. :)
So not much is happening for me.. I'm in my second year of university living with with a great group of girls. There's six of us in total, and though there's the everyday things, for the most part it's going really well. Some of the girls I'm living with are my closest friends and we have a ton of fun.
This weekend Ali and I had such a good weekend. We had planned that she was coming to see me.. so she arrived Friday afternoon. We bought lots of food, bought the movie, the Proposal, and just hung out. Then on Saturday I made her a wonderful breakfast, if I do say so myself (breakfast is the only meal I have any hope of cooking decently) then we did some school work. So after that I was wondering why she wasn't staying Saturday night as well.. and she said it was because there's a worship team at her church that she really wanted to see. So I decided I wanted to see them as well so that night we both got on a bus to Waterloo, to her house. (They're only about a half hour apart). So then we went there, she took me out for dinner, and the next morning we went to church.. then we met up with a friend for lunch and hung out for the afternoon.. so much fun.
So there's a very detailed rundown of our weekend. :)
We only have about two weeks left of class.. even less than that. That's so crazy. Then two weeks of exams, then Christmas! I'm particularly excited for Christmas this year.. my boyfriend Luke has been in England for the past three months at Capernwray bible school.. so he's coming home. It'll be great.
So I love you all and really miss you.. and would love to have an update from even more of you!

2 - me & petie, and bri & trish are heading to peru in july and doing the Inca Trail!!!!

Hey Family!
Thanks Jessalyn for posting! I've thought the same for myself..I'd love to post something too but there's not much to tell! I am busy with school at the moment. There's only 3 more weeks of classes left and then finals start already! So 5 courses plus choir is keeping me pretty busy! We had a concert last weekend! Too bad you guys aren't close enough that you could come! I love choirs so it's fun to continue this in university. This is my 3rd year involved with the choir. For those who don't know, I'm studying kinesiology at school. Both Jem and Josh studied this too in school ... family business guys? What do you think?
The big excitement that is coming up is not only Christmas but where I'll be this Christmas! As a lot of you know, Mike, my boyfriend, is in Auckland, New Zealand right now and has been since January (when I last saw some of you!) for teachers college. So, guess where I'll be going in December?! I leave on the 23rd and arrive on Christmas day actually ... I'll be spending Christmas Eve on a plane, crossing many timezones! I can't wait! We're going to be hiking in the south island on the Kepler Track which is supposed to be absolutely stunning (I recently bought I really nice pair of hiking boots!), we'll be in Queenstown for New Years and we're also going to Great Barrier Island off of the coast of Auckland in the north island. And of course, we'll be exploring Auckland a bit seeing all of his favourite places. So I'll be there a total of 2 weeks! I will be sure to post some pictures and give you all a report in January! Mike will be back for good (yay!) at the end of January! Next step: finding a teaching job!
So I think Jessalyn has started something great: even if you think your life has nothing new to report, there's always something that we could learn I am sure of it! Whatever the little or big things may be, please share! Anything and everything! And plus it's just great hearing from you!
Oh and I really wanted to add a picture just because so here's one nearly 2 years ago of some of us cousins! Oh how I love you all! And miss you greatly!

nothing to report!
I can't believe the last thing that was posted on the blog was Jem's wedding. I check this blog frequently and love reading what the rest of the fam is up to! I'd love to post something super exciting but there is really not too much to report. I am still working full-time at BC Women's Hospital in Vancouver in labor and delivery. It's a really cool job and learning new stuff all the time. In August, I moved out of my first apartment and moved into a better apartment with one of my good friends, Laurie. It is going really well living with her! Over the last few months, I have been to many concerts (with my roommate Laurie), Sam Roberts, Keane and just recently U2. The U2 concert was amazing and out of some random act of kindness, Laurie and I were moved into the VIP section and we were front row to see Bono. I was within arms reach of Bono! It was amazing! Other than that, there is nothing to report. So happy to hear that Cherie and Sheri are both expecting. The Penner clan is continuing to grow! Hope this finds you all well! Miss you and love you!
