Celebrations everywhere!

We have been rather busy in Fresno! People are having birthdays and others are getting married!! Here are almost all the Fresno cousins! This picture was from a couple weekends ago for Christopher's 2nd birthday! Andrea is holding the birthday boy. There were lots of food, bubbles and fun! If you have not heard Arris and David are pregnant with their 2nd! And they just found out they are having a GIRL!!! (David is holding Jadon in the picture.) So FUN!! We are so blessed with such a wonderful family.

Aubrey Rose and Christopher during bubble time!Below are Christopher, Aubrey Rose, and Jadon Here are some details from our family shower we threw for Becca. Luke and Becca's wedding is NEXT WEEKEND!!! Aubrey Rose is going to be a flower girl. We will definitely be sharing pictures on here. But just so you know there is still time to get your flight figured out to be here next weekend. I guarantee you would NOT regret it! Back to the shower for Becca...I thought I should include more pictures because this is the party all of you Canadian family members would have been at had there not been the distance we have between us. We had a dessert shower so we had toppings and goodies for a trifle bar. We had samples to share. Christy, Cherie, Allie and Chelsey Allie, Margie, Cherie and Christy It was a family shower, but also friends too. Some of Aunt Rose's friends came too! They love Chelsey and the kids just like their own. They are such dear, dear friends. Here is Allie (on the right) and her mom Darlene. The bride to be, Becca, and her mom Betty. Becca opening beautiful gifts. Becca would probably die knowing that I put this on here, but not all of you have gotten to know her. She is truly a gem. She has become a quick favorite around here. She is spunky, fun, sweet, encouraging and she LOVES Jesus! This picture just shows you some of how fun her personality is. I just love her! This picture was from Becca's bridal shower with her friends. And us four again...Allie, Chelsey, Becca and myself...We had a fun night out for Becca's bachelorette party. Such a fun night! Miss all you Canada family!!! Seriously there is still PLENTY of time to book your flight to come experience Luke and Becca's wedding next weekend (March 27). It is going to be soooo much fun and such a fun celebration! COME!!! Love you!

Love, Cherie

Hi! Now that I'm back on the blog, I thought I'd give you all the Moore update. We just got back from a 3 week vacation in Florida, which was both relaxing and exciting. We spent the first week in Orlando with Scott's brother, sister, parent's and the spouses and grandkids. 13 people in all. Since Scott's siblings all have little girls, the theme of the week was Disney Princesses. Maddie and her cousin Hailey (pictured above) we were lucky enough to get the full princess experience at Cinderella's Castle. The rest of us had breakfast with the princesses but we didn't get to wear a tiara. As you can see, Maddie was pretty tired out but wouldn't give up the princess hair and makeup for a few days.
Our second week was spent in and around Fort Lauderdale, Miami and Key West. Mom & Dad were kind enough to come down with us and took care of the kids while Scott and I went off galavanting and pretending we were young again. For anyone that hasn't been to Key West, it's worth a trip (even though Jimmy Buffet doesn't live there anymore...)
Finally we finished up the trip with our annual visit to Zephyrhills Florida! Scott's parent's have a place there so we usually take advantage of that for a long weekend each year. This year we stayed almost a week and it was great. I thought I'd be ready to come home after 3 weeks but I guess you just can't get sick of being on vacation! Anyway, that's the Moore update. I'm still enjoying mat leave but will be back to work soon. Keep updating this thing!

Ontario Penner Get Together

Hi All! So after seeing all the California photos of great Penner get togethers over the years, we finally decided to show you guys that Ontarians can have fun too. Even in the winter! James and Heather Ann were brave enough to invite all the Dave Penner clan over for lunch yesterday. We only broke one antique the whole time (and the kids didn't wreck anything!) It was a wonderful afternoon of eating and catching up. Plus we finally got to celebrate Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving and every other holiday we missed together last year. Take that California!
PS. Note the nice apron James is wearing. I didn't notice him cooking anything while we were there...I think he grabbed it just for the photo op.

Next Winter!

Hey Everybody, Em here! Not sure if people are still checking this, but I have some exciting news that I got today! About a month and a half ago, I applied for a study abroad program and an exchange program for next year. The study abroad program is where I travel with fellow University of Guelph students and live and take classes together. For this, I applied to Paris. The exchange program is where I would simply go to another university and live there on my own! I applied to several schools in Australia for this, first choice being Sydney. Okayyy - so today I got an email saying I'd been accepted to a study abroad program. I was SO excited! So I went into the international programs office, and I had TWO packages waiting there for me.. I had been accepted to Paris and to Sydney! I am beyond thrilled. God really blessed me today! I have to decide where I want to go by March 19. Paris or Sydney.. Paris or Sydney.. I have NO idea! haha Sydney is always what I have wanted to do... ever since living in Australia in 2003 I have been planning my return. Saying no to that somehow seems morally wrong, haha. But on the other hand, Paris is such a unique opportunity! Living in Paris, with other (english speaking!) students? That also seems impossible to reject! Ahh! So pray for this decision! haha and I'm open to ANY advice. Love you all, Em
