Thanksgiving in Fresno!

The Fresno Penner's continue to mulitply year after year. I think the only person we were missing was Jeremy because he is up at school at CBC for school. BUT, his girlfriend, Nicole, represented WELL on his behalf! Obviously she had tons of people to meet and she made us proud. Here is our Fresno crew! We sure missed ALL the other Penner's!

Harold and Lily LOVE to be with their grandkids! (Aubrey Rose is on the left, Christopher is on the right.) Andrea, Christoper and Jon Might be some new faces below....I wish this picture was not blurry! On the left is Nicole, Jeremy's girlfriend, in the middle is Becca (Luke's fiance...wedding is March 27th!) and we are all blessed to know Chelsey Marie! These two, at times, stole the show this Thanksgiving! Aubrey Rose and Christopher are 10 days apart. They LOVED being with each other. They followed each other around, played with each other, and constantly gave hugs to one another. It was soooo fun to watch them interact.

Christopher (on the right) is 10 days older than Aubrey Rose. They were so cute together. See what I mean they stole the show! This is Aubrey Rose showing her new dance move. This made us laugh. Last Christmas Jon sat in this chair and BROKE it! My dad finally fixed it and so we made sure Jon knew he was not allowed to sit in it again! Ha!Here is one table....starting from left...Uncle Mac and Janice, then Allie's parents, Darlene and Eric, Aaron and Christy, and then our wonderful friend Brooke (she is kind of adopted into our HP Penner family...my mom has been a mentor to her) On the left again...Andrea, Christopher and Jon, then the cute engaged couple, Luke and Becca and then, Andrea's sweet mom, Lynda is on the right The only new addition is this picture is Jadon. He just turned 1 year old last month! On the left is Neil and Charity, then Lily, on the right is David, Jadon and Arris From bottom left...Aubrey Rose (with her "cheeeeeeese" smile), Margie, Blake, Chelsey, Nicole, my dad in the back, then Jesse and Allie This is all of us hanging out, singing some worship songs, while the little kiddos entertained us with their dance moves. Some more of the circle Aubrey Rose and Christopher dancing to the Jesus songs we were singing The Harold Penner clan The 3 little ones...Aubrey Rose, Jadon and Christopher Jadon, Charity and Arris Aunt Lily, Charity and Jadon All of us girls hanging out...of and Jon's shoes since he took the picture laying down! Oh, and hopefully you made it through to the bottom of this post! Complete sidenote, not Thanksgiving at all, but definitely family related...I just wanted to keep everyone in the loop about Blake, Aubrey Rose and myself. It has already been a month or so since we found out, but at our 13 week ultrasound appointment the doctors found no heartbeat for our Baby #2. God's plans are WAY bigger and BETTER than we could ever create for ourselves. He knows what is best for all of us. The three of us are doing wonderfully and praise the Lord for having his hand upon us each step of the way. Just wanted to keep you guys in the loop of some of the Fresno happenings!

Love, Cherie and the rest of the Fresno crew!

hellooooo family.

Hey Family! So I haven't posted anything in.. forever, so I thought I'd take the advice of that older sister of mine. ..haha - make a note of this Ali. :) So not much is happening for me.. I'm in my second year of university living with with a great group of girls. There's six of us in total, and though there's the everyday things, for the most part it's going really well. Some of the girls I'm living with are my closest friends and we have a ton of fun. This weekend Ali and I had such a good weekend. We had planned that she was coming to see me.. so she arrived Friday afternoon. We bought lots of food, bought the movie, the Proposal, and just hung out. Then on Saturday I made her a wonderful breakfast, if I do say so myself (breakfast is the only meal I have any hope of cooking decently) then we did some school work. So after that I was wondering why she wasn't staying Saturday night as well.. and she said it was because there's a worship team at her church that she really wanted to see. So I decided I wanted to see them as well so that night we both got on a bus to Waterloo, to her house. (They're only about a half hour apart). So then we went there, she took me out for dinner, and the next morning we went to church.. then we met up with a friend for lunch and hung out for the afternoon.. so much fun. So there's a very detailed rundown of our weekend. :) We only have about two weeks left of class.. even less than that. That's so crazy. Then two weeks of exams, then Christmas! I'm particularly excited for Christmas this year.. my boyfriend Luke has been in England for the past three months at Capernwray bible school.. so he's coming home. It'll be great. So I love you all and really miss you.. and would love to have an update from even more of you! em

Hey Family!

Thanks Jessalyn for posting! I've thought the same for myself..I'd love to post something too but there's not much to tell! I am busy with school at the moment. There's only 3 more weeks of classes left and then finals start already! So 5 courses plus choir is keeping me pretty busy! We had a concert last weekend! Too bad you guys aren't close enough that you could come! I love choirs so it's fun to continue this in university. This is my 3rd year involved with the choir. For those who don't know, I'm studying kinesiology at school. Both Jem and Josh studied this too in school ... family business guys? What do you think?
The big excitement that is coming up is not only Christmas but where I'll be this Christmas! As a lot of you know, Mike, my boyfriend, is in Auckland, New Zealand right now and has been since January (when I last saw some of you!) for teachers college. So, guess where I'll be going in December?! I leave on the 23rd and arrive on Christmas day actually ... I'll be spending Christmas Eve on a plane, crossing many timezones! I can't wait! We're going to be hiking in the south island on the Kepler Track which is supposed to be absolutely stunning (I recently bought I really nice pair of hiking boots!), we'll be in Queenstown for New Years and we're also going to Great Barrier Island off of the coast of Auckland in the north island. And of course, we'll be exploring Auckland a bit seeing all of his favourite places. So I'll be there a total of 2 weeks! I will be sure to post some pictures and give you all a report in January! Mike will be back for good (yay!) at the end of January! Next step: finding a teaching job!
So I think Jessalyn has started something great: even if you think your life has nothing new to report, there's always something that we could learn I am sure of it! Whatever the little or big things may be, please share! Anything and everything! And plus it's just great hearing from you!
Oh and I really wanted to add a picture just because so here's one nearly 2 years ago of some of us cousins! Oh how I love you all! And miss you greatly!
