nothing to report!

I can't believe the last thing that was posted on the blog was Jem's wedding. I check this blog frequently and love reading what the rest of the fam is up to! I'd love to post something super exciting but there is really not too much to report. I am still working full-time at BC Women's Hospital in Vancouver in labor and delivery. It's a really cool job and learning new stuff all the time. In August, I moved out of my first apartment and moved into a better apartment with one of my good friends, Laurie. It is going really well living with her! Over the last few months, I have been to many concerts (with my roommate Laurie), Sam Roberts, Keane and just recently U2. The U2 concert was amazing and out of some random act of kindness, Laurie and I were moved into the VIP section and we were front row to see Bono. I was within arms reach of Bono! It was amazing! Other than that, there is nothing to report. So happy to hear that Cherie and Sheri are both expecting. The Penner clan is continuing to grow! Hope this finds you all well! Miss you and love you!

Introducing Maia Gabrielle Klassen!

Hi everyone. I'm sending you an update on behalf of Chris & Jewel. Jewel delivered a beautiful baby GIRL on Friday, July 24th at 9:30 pm. Being the great mom that she is, she was able to take her other children swimming at Carriage Hills until 6:00 that evening, then go home and feed the family, call the midwife and finally get into bed at 8:30 to deliver the baby at home (then she called me at 11:20 to give me the news. Talk about superwoman!). She was also kind enough to have her on a Friday night so that Scott & I could drive to Barrie for the weekend to visit. Jewel and Maia barely missed a beat and were back up at Carriage Hills with the family on Sunday morning to go swimming. Chelsea and Isabelle are very proud sisters, and love their new "doll". Congratulations Chris, Jewel, Chelsea and Isabelle!

Moore Update

Hi All (or maybe just Cherie at this point?). Just thought I'd update everyone on a few Moore family happenings. Scott and I had our ultrasound a few weeks ago and it looks like the family will be blessed with another GIRL!! We are all very happy about that - especially me and Maddie who are looking forward to all our future girls shopping trips. Scott, Maddie and I just returned back from a week's vacation up north. We spent most of the week at our cottage with a 2 night trip into Algonquin. For those of you who don't know, it's a big provincial park, way far up north in Ontario. We did real, true camping including a canoe, tent and portage to get to our site! Maddie's first camping trip and she was very excited (once she got over the fact that we forgot her teddy bear and had no way of getting it). Here are a few pics from the vacation. The first one is of Maddie in the tent in Algonquin (you can't have good hair in the bush, ladies) and the second one is on our boat at the cottage with her cousin Hailey. Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the summer! -Sheri
